Voice of a Soul is a music project founded by multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/producer Markus in 2006. The music incorporates a wide range of styles, ranging from classical music to death metal and everything in between. According to Markus “a sound that transcends the genre conformity of modern pop culture is duly one worth pursuing… something that makes the listeners rediscover the band time after time without losing the initial allure.”

Voice of a Soul is a “product” of love to which I genuinely put my soul into – each published track conveys uncompromising emotional charge following a no-questions-asked attitude. Music can be seen as the interplay of all contributing souls put forth to realize the sonic experience… for music to be good, it has to hold significance and to attain that it must have that certain heartfelt quality to it.
There are lots of talented and inspiring musicians around, and hence I usually refrain from doing any name dropping… as an open-minded listener I would say every genre has something worthwhile to offer. However, it’s rather difficult to pinpoint which artists are the most influential ones. Therefore I decided to embark on ambitious mission of creating a database that consists of albums that I have enjoyed listening to and have influenced VoaS to some extent. One should always give credit where credit is due, therefore I hope you enjoy exploring the vast depths of my musical influences library
